World Renew

World Renew Team working to rebuild homes within the Venice community. Lakeside is providing housing for the team as the volunteers continue their humanitarian work in assisting those families in need of restoring their homes.

Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT)

Lakeside’s group of men and women L.E.R.T. is working together with Sarasota County to establish an emergency action team to provide help for our community during a hurricane and afterwards into recovery.

Helping Hands

Are you looking for some help? Do you have a job you just can’t do anymore? Helping Hands is a group of people who are ready and willing help you. Call the church office or email us, and we will find someone who can assist you with your task. And if you’re willing to BE the helping hands, then we could use your help too!

Stitch & Chatter

If you are looking for a group to knit with, we have a group for you! Our Ladies Stitch and Chatter group meet every Tuesday at 9:30 in Meyer Hall. The projects worked on vary from personal accomplishments and to working on projects to donate to nursing homes and Twigs (Foster Children shopping).

Please feel free to join them!

Quilting Group

The quilters meet on Monday’s, at 9:30, in Meyer Hall.  Come Join them every Monday morning!  Sewing skills are not necessary to be a part of the Quilting Group.  They make tied quilts to give to Lutheran World Relief for distribution all over the world.

Bread Breakers

Bread Breakers is an opportunity to become involved in living Lakeside’s Vision:  “Joyful Christians Who Inspire Spiritual Growth and Discipleship”.  We get together in small groups for friendship, church community and fun. Through our conversations we are encouraged and filled with the Joy of Jesus.  Groups formed are composed of couples and singles, both full time and seasonal members.  We meet monthly, January thru May and July thru November.  After each five month session the groups are shuffled so we can get to know others.  Our next session will begin in July.
