Resting is when we are abiding in Jesus grace, healing, forgiveness and power through His gifts and Word. It is hard to bear fruit and reproduce if you are not abiding in Jesus. You  lose motivation, and end up in the frustration of the Law and burn out quickly. Many Christians stay in the abide mode their whole life and never enter into the reproduction mode to bear fruit.
