God’s voice is to be heard today! Hebrews 3 ties back into the life of Moses and the Israel as they travel in the wilderness making their way to the promised land of rest. Also the way they grew bitterer toward God for a lack of water. They showed an unfaithful heart that made them corpses in the desert. Rather than listening to the voice of God today they went the way of testing God and complaining about him.

“Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”

This quote from Psalm 95 also lands in our text of Hebrews three with the warring to live by faith and trust in God and not a hardened heart of unbelief. One is left out of life and the other is saved.

Return to the Lord your God, you and your children, and obey his voice in all that I command you today, with all your heart and with all your soul, then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have mercy on you, and he will gather you again from all the peoples where the Lord your God has scattered you. Deut. 30:2-3.
