Today, we observe all saints Day. Revelation chapter seven gives us a glimpse of the saints in heaven. All Saints Day resonates with the conviction that in Christ every saint is a sinner and every sinner a saint. We especially remember on this feast that it is God’s grace, apart from our works, that makes us saints. We find lasting rest only in the mercy of God. Today we give thanks to God for sealing all his saints into Christ Jesus knowing that all those that have gone before will welcome us home gladly. How do we know that we are sealed in Christ? God says so.
