Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
– Matthew 11:28 ESV
God’s grace is designed to give us great and wonderful rest. In a world of fatigue, demands, and busy activities God’s sees fit to give us rest by His grace. We see red eyes, low shoulders and fearful thinking in the lives of many people. We hear words of disappointment, and frustration. We have demands from the government, our families, our community and even the church. We hear little about grace and rest.
Do not be led away by diverse and strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, which have not benefited those devoted to them.
– Hebrews 13:9 ESV
Grace comes in through Christ and moves us from being a dissatisfied people of hectic lives to a people of grace that blesses us so that we can bless others with that same grace. We need not perform to make God happy.
We rest in grace.
